Algerian PM Holds Talks with Vietnamese Counterpart

Algiers, Algeria – Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Grib engaged in discussions with the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, at the Government Palace on Wednesday. Prime Minister Chinh is currently undertaking an official visit to Algeria.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s office, the meeting provided an opportunity to commend the deep-rooted bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two nations and their respective peoples. The statement further highlighted the shared history of struggle between Algeria and Vietnam, emphasizing the political will of both leaderships to strengthen bilateral cooperation across all sectors. The aim is to elevate this cooperation to the level of a strategic partnership.

The discussions also underscored the commitment to explore new avenues for collaboration, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange. Both Prime Ministers reaffirmed their dedication to fostering a stronger and more dynamic relationship between Algeria and Vietnam.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, and Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamal Rezig. Their presence highlights the importance Algeria places on strengthening ties with Vietnam across various governmental portfolios.
