According to Ooredoo Algeria’s CEO, Roni Tohme, the 18th edition of the “ نجمة الإعلام” (Star of Media) competition and the second edition of the “النجمة الصاعدة” (Rising Star) competition demonstrate the company’s commitment to fostering professional media capable of navigating Algeria’s digital transformation.

The awards ceremony, held at the Sheraton Hotel, commenced with the Algerian national anthem, symbolizing respect for national identity and the vital role of journalism in preserving Algeria’s collective memory.
The event was attended by prominent figures including the Minister of Culture and Arts, Malika Bendouda, the Qatari Ambassador to Algeria, Abdul Aziz Ali Al-Neama, the Lebanese Ambassador, Ali Al-Mawla, the National Commissioner for Child Protection, Dr. Maryam Cherfi, and the Secretary-General of the High Commission for Amazighity, Hachemi Assad.
