Foreign Delegations to Visit Sahrawi Refugee Camps, State Institutions

Foreign delegations are scheduled to commence working visits to Sahrawi refugee camps starting next week. These visits will include a series of meetings with Sahrawi officials, according to sources within the Sahrawi National Directorate of Protocol.

The delegations will include representatives from the Andalusia region of Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. These groups will be comprised of parliamentarians, lawyers, and solidarity activists.

During their visits, the delegations will be briefed on the latest developments in the Sahrawi cause, the realities faced by Sahrawi refugees, and the operations of Sahrawi state institutions. Several meetings with Sahrawi officials are also planned.

The visit agenda includes field visits to regional facilities in the wilayas of Awserd, Smara, and Boujdour. Delegations will also tour the National Resistance Museum, the headquarters of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, and schools for individuals with disabilities.

Meetings are scheduled with key state and Polisario Front officials, including the Prime Minister, the President of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, the Minister of Social Affairs and the Advancement of Women, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Furthermore, the delegations will participate in the 10th Congress of the Sahrawi Youth Union (UJSARIO).

These visits aim to renew support for the Sahrawi cause at a crucial time marked by significant developments on all fronts, particularly following the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2703 (2024).
