Cold Weather Alert: Rain and Ice Expected Across Northern Algeria

DZWatch Exclusive: Cold weather is expected to grip several regions of Algeria tomorrow, according to the latest forecasts. The National Meteorological Office predicts a significant drop in temperatures, particularly across the northern parts of the country.

The forecast indicates partly cloudy skies for northern regions throughout Sunday, with a higher probability of scattered rainfall in eastern areas. Residents in Annaba and El Tarf should be prepared for potential showers. Icy conditions are also anticipated in inland areas during the morning hours, posing a potential hazard for commuters.

Coastal areas will experience temperatures ranging from 17 to 20 degrees Celsius, while inland regions can expect temperatures between 11 and 18 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds are predicted to reach up to 30 kilometers per hour in some locations.

In contrast, southern regions will enjoy sunny conditions with temperatures ranging from a pleasant 16 to a warmer 33 degrees Celsius. However, wind speeds in the south may be slightly higher, potentially reaching 40 kilometers per hour.

DZWatch will continue to monitor the weather situation and provide updates as they become available. We advise residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions and stay informed about changing weather conditions. Drive safely and be mindful of potential icy patches, especially during the early morning hours.
