Algiers, Algeria – The Minister of Youth, Mr. Mustapha Hidaoui, alongside the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Noureddine Ouahd, presided over an open day event in Algiers today. The event, held at the Arzeki Teboudoucht Cultural Center in Ben Aknoun, showcased projects and initiatives led by young entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises.
The open day served as a platform for young Algerians to present their innovative ideas and business ventures. It provided an opportunity for networking, mentorship, and potential investment, aligning with the goals of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Minister Hidaoui, also responsible for the High Council of Youth, emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting youth entrepreneurship as a key driver of economic growth. He highlighted various programs and initiatives designed to empower young people and facilitate the creation of sustainable businesses.
Minister Ouahd echoed this sentiment, stressing the importance of the knowledge economy and the role of startups in diversifying the Algerian economy. He noted the government’s efforts to create a favorable ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship, including access to funding, training, and mentorship opportunities.
