Algiers – The Ministry of National Education has announced an intensive training program for integrated contract teachers for the 2025/2026 academic year. The program, overseen by the Directorate General of Human Resources and Training, aims to bolster the pedagogical skills of teachers across all educational levels.
The comprehensive schedule outlines specific training periods tailored to each educational stage, ensuring optimal organization and maximum benefit for participating educators.
For primary school teachers, the preparatory pedagogical training is scheduled from Saturday, December 20, 2025, to Wednesday, December 31, 2025. This training will focus on equipping them with fundamental pedagogical tools essential for guiding pupils and enhancing the quality of education at the primary level.
Middle school teachers will undergo training from Monday, March 23, 2026, to Thursday, April 2, 2026. This session is designed to reinforce their teaching skills and develop modern interaction methods with students.
Secondary school teachers holding a Master’s degree or a State Engineering degree are scheduled for training from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to Thursday, July 30, 2026. An end-of-training exam will be held from Saturday, July 25, 2026, to Monday, July 27, 2026, to assess their acquisition of theoretical and practical skills.
The pre-training for secondary school teachers holding a Bachelor’s degree is structured in several phases: December 20-31, 2025; March 23-April 2, 2026; July 1-30, 2026; and September 6-12, 2026. The final exam and thesis defense are scheduled from Sunday, September 13, 2026, to Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The program is designed to provide approximately 400 hours of instruction, with the goal of significantly enhancing teacher competency and improving the overall quality of education in Algeria. The Ministry emphasizes the importance of this training in preparing teachers for the challenges of the modern classroom.
