In an exclusive interview on DZWatch’s podcast ‘Sarrahni,’ renowned astronomer Lot Bounatiro revealed his lifelong allegiance to a prominent club in the Algerian National League. He reminisced about his childhood in the historic Casbah district, where his passion for the sport and the team first ignited.
Bounatiro explained that his deep-rooted love for Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MCA) stems from his family’s close ties to the club. His father was among the founders of MCA, ensuring that he grew up immersed in the club’s rich history and traditions. “We were born in the Casbah, and we grew up following Mouloudia d’Alger,” Bounatiro stated. “It was only natural that this team would remain closest to my heart.”
He also shared that during his childhood, he actively played football and was considered one of the best players in his neighborhood. However, his interests later shifted towards astronomy and the sciences. Despite his career taking a different path, Bounatiro confirmed that he still follows football with great enthusiasm.
