Algiers, Algeria – ETUSA, the public transport authority for the city of Algiers and its suburbs, has announced the launch of new bus routes and the extension of existing ones in the municipality of Souidania.
The newly implemented routes, which began operating today, are designed to improve connectivity and accessibility for residents. According to ETUSA, the new routes include:
Route 229: Connecting Roukhi district and Souidania Centre. The first departure from Roukhi is at 6:00 AM, with the last departure from Souidania Centre at 6:30 PM.
Route 526: Linking Roukhi district and the 2 May Station (Tafourah), passing through the Green District of Ouled Fayet. The first bus departs from Roukhi at 6:00 AM, and the final departure from 2 May Station (Tafourah) is at 5:00 PM.
In addition to the new routes, ETUSA has also modified and extended the routes of the following bus lines:
Route 03: Connecting Roukhi district and Chavailli Station, passing through Souidania and Bouchaoui. The first departure from Roukhi is scheduled for 6:00 AM, with the last departure from Chavailli Station at 7:00 PM.
Route 708: Linking Roukhi district and Chavailli Station, passing through Souidania and Dounia Park. The first bus departs from Roukhi at 6:00 AM, and the final departure from Chavailli Station is at 6:00 PM.
These changes are expected to significantly improve public transportation options for residents in these areas, offering more convenient and efficient travel. ETUSA continues to assess and adapt its network to meet the evolving needs of the city’s commuters.
