Luanda, Angola – The Algerian national canoe kayak team departed for Luanda, Angola, today, Monday, November 24th, 2025, to participate in the upcoming African Championships. The team comprises ten athletes representing various age categories, including seniors, under-23s, and juniors.
The continental competition is scheduled to take place from November 28th to 30th. Algerian athletes will compete against top paddlers from across the African continent, vying for medals and aiming to improve their international rankings.
“We are confident in our team’s abilities and their dedication to representing Algeria with pride,” stated a representative from the Algerian Canoe Kayak Federation. “The athletes have been training diligently in preparation for this championship, and we believe they are well-prepared to compete at their best.”
The Algerian team’s participation in the African Championships underscores the nation’s commitment to developing and promoting water sports. The Federation hopes that the team’s performance will inspire young Algerians to take up canoe kayak and contribute to the sport’s growth in the country.
