Luanda, Angola – Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held discussions with his Portuguese counterpart, Paulo Rangel, on Tuesday on the sidelines of the 7th African Union-European Union Summit in Luanda. The meeting focused on bolstering the positive momentum in Algerian-Portuguese relations, particularly as both nations prepare for upcoming engagements.
According to a statement released by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The discussions highlighted the mutual desire to capitalize on existing opportunities and explore new avenues for collaboration to benefit both countries.
Beyond bilateral matters, Attaf and Rangel also exchanged views on ways to enhance the Africa-Europe partnership, taking into account the outcomes of the Luanda summit. They explored potential strategies for fostering stronger and more effective cooperation between the two continents, addressing shared challenges and promoting mutual interests.
