Algerian Prime Minister Received by Egyptian President El-Sisi

Prime Minister Sefi Gharib was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo at the start of his official visit to Egypt. The Prime Minister conveyed fraternal greetings from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, emphasizing Algeria’s commitment to strengthening brotherly ties and deepening bilateral partnerships across various sectors.

President El-Sisi expressed his deep appreciation for President Tebboune, lauding the ongoing communication between them aimed at bolstering cooperation between the two nations, bound by a shared history of struggle. He also conveyed the respect and esteem that Algeria enjoys in Egypt, among its leadership, government, and people.

President El-Sisi stated that Algeria and Egypt, as key pillars for maintaining stability in the Arab world and North Africa, will continue to enhance coordination and consultation on matters of mutual interest. This collaboration will enable both countries to effectively fulfill their responsibilities in these critical regions.

The Egyptian President commended the current level of bilateral relations and successful partnership projects between the two countries. He affirmed Egypt’s readiness to exert every effort to elevate bilateral cooperation and economic exchanges to their full potential. He expressed his wishes for the success of the ninth session of the Joint High Committee, scheduled to convene tomorrow, emphasizing the need to actively monitor and implement its outcomes to ensure the desired benefits for both economies.

Prime Minister Gharib highlighted the deep historical bonds between the two nations and their peoples, and the commitment of their leadership to further enhance bilateral cooperation by leveraging all partnership opportunities offered by their respective economies. This will be achieved through an approach based on integration within the frameworks of continental and Arab free trade agreements.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this session is being held in line with the directives of President Tebboune and President El-Sisi, issued during the Egyptian President’s visit to Algeria last October, with the aim of promoting partnership between the two countries.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Said Saayoud; the Minister of Finance, Abderrahmane Raouya; the Minister of Industry, Yahia Boussoufa; and the Minister of Agriculture.
