Algerian Senate President Welcomes Palestinian Education Minister

Algiers – The President of the Algerian Council of the Nation (Senate), Mr. Azzouz Nasseri, received the Minister of Education and Higher Education of the State of Palestine, Mr. Sabri Saidam, in Algiers on Tuesday. Mr. Saidam is also a member of the Central Committee of the Fatah movement.

According to a statement released by the Council of the Nation, the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Algeria and Palestine, particularly in the fields of education and cultural exchange. Mr. Nasseri reaffirmed Algeria’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and an independent state.

“Algeria remains steadfast in its commitment to standing by Palestine in its struggle for freedom and justice,” Mr. Nasseri stated during the meeting. He emphasized the historical ties and strong bonds of solidarity that unite the Algerian and Palestinian peoples.

Minister Saidam expressed his gratitude to Algeria for its continued support and highlighted the importance of collaboration in developing educational programs and initiatives that benefit both countries. He acknowledged Algeria’s leading role in advocating for Palestinian rights on the international stage.

The discussions also touched upon the challenges facing the education sector in Palestine and the efforts being made to overcome them. Both parties agreed on the need to enhance communication and coordination to further strengthen bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation in various fields.
