Trump Blames Biden After Shooting Near White House Injures Guardsmen

Washington D.C. – President Donald Trump has publicly addressed the shooting that occurred near the White House on Wednesday, placing blame on the previous administration of Joe Biden. The incident resulted in injuries to two National Guard members.

Trump stated that the individual responsible for the shooting, which took place in the heart of Washington D.C., arrived from Afghanistan in 2021. He alleged that this individual was among millions who were allowed into the United States without proper vetting under Biden’s administration.

“This was a terrorist act,” Trump declared from Florida, where he is spending the Thanksgiving holiday. He described the suspect as a “foreign national from Afghanistan” who was “brought here by the Biden administration in September of 2021.”

The President launched a scathing critique of immigration policies, branding them “the greatest threat to national security.” He accused the previous administration of allowing “20 million unknown foreigners from around the world” to enter the country without proper screening. Trump asserted that his administration would now have to “re-vet” all individuals who arrived from Afghanistan during Biden’s term.

“The perpetrator of this barbaric attack will face swift and certain justice if he didn’t succumb to his wound,” Trump stated. “We will not tolerate this type of assault on law and order from individuals who should not be in our country.”

Trump announced that he has authorized the deployment of an additional 500 National Guard troops to Washington D.C., bringing the total deployment to over 2,500.

Earlier, on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump described the wounded guardsmen as being “seriously injured” and noted that the suspect was also “badly wounded.” He referred to the perpetrator as an “animal” who would pay a “big price” for his actions.

According to Washington D.C. Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll, the suspect “came to the corner of the street, produced his weapon, and fired upon the National Guard personnel.” Other members of the National Guard were able to apprehend the suspect.

The shooting took place in an area with many office buildings, not far from the White House.
