Setif, Algeria – Tragedy struck the wilaya of Setif today as two individuals succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. The incident occurred in the commune of Bazer Sakhra, within the El Eulma district.
According to reports from the Civil Protection services, emergency responders were dispatched to a factory in the locality of Beni Mousli at approximately 7:30 AM local time. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims suffering from the effects of carbon monoxide inhalation. The source of the gas was determined to be a faulty heating system within the factory premises.
Despite the swift response of the Civil Protection, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies have been transported to the morgue at the local hospital for further examination and identification.
Carbon monoxide poisoning remains a persistent threat, particularly during the colder months when heating appliances are in frequent use.
