Algiers, Algeria – Louisa Hanoune, the Secretary-General of the Workers’ Party, held a press conference today in Algiers to discuss the main points addressed during her recent meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Hanoune emphasized that the discussion with the President was conducted “without any restrictions and was completely open,” covering national, regional, and international issues. She stated that she presented her party’s vision for national solutions to internal matters and strategies to counter any external interference.
“I aimed to convey to the President the party’s perspective on everything that could contribute to supporting and strengthening the country’s internal front,” Hanoune explained.
Regarding the specific topics discussed, Hanoune noted that “the President addressed the economic file and the achievements made in this area, such as the major development projects being implemented and their impact on the national economy.” She added that the President also provided insights into “the repercussions of the global situation on Algeria,” including those related to the budget and revenues, stressing that his priority is “strengthening the national economy.”
On the Palestinian issue, Hanoune highlighted that “the President reiterated that Algeria has not and will not abandon Gaza and the Palestinian cause.”
