Tiaret, Algeria – Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Abdelkader Djelloul, commenced a working visit to the wilayas of Tiaret and Ksar Chellala today, November 29, 2025, to inspect the Tiaret-Tissemsilt railway line project and its associated facilities.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the Minister will oversee the commissioning of the rehabilitated Wilaya Road No. 03, spanning 25 kilometers between Sougueur and Ain Dzarit. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the national transport infrastructure.
In Ksar Chellala, a newly established wilaya, Minister Djelloul will also inaugurate several sections of the wilaya’s road network. These roadworks were undertaken to repair damage caused by adverse weather conditions, aiming to improve traffic flow, enhance connectivity, and support local and national development.
The inspection and commissioning of these projects highlight the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and promoting economic growth across the country. The Tiaret-Tissemsilt railway line is a key project expected to significantly boost transportation and trade in the region.
The rehabilitated road networks will also play a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods and people, connecting remote areas and stimulating local economies.
