Civil Protection Directorate Announces Mass Promotions

Algiers, November 29, 2025 – The General Directorate of Civil Protection has announced the promotion of 5,272 employees following the release of the final results of the 2025 professional examinations for advancement across various technical ranks and similar personnel.

In a statement released today, the Directorate General of Civil Protection detailed the distribution of beneficiaries of the promotions as follows: 30 promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, 7 promoted to Physician Lieutenant Colonel, 7 promoted to Physician Major, 99 promoted to Major, 194 promoted to Captain, 384 promoted to First Lieutenant, 204 promoted to Lieutenant, 648 promoted to Warrant Officer, 2989 promoted to Sergeant, 633 promoted to Corporal, and 77 promoted among similar personnel.

The Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Boughelag, extended his warmest congratulations and sincerest wishes to all those who succeeded in the 2025 professional examinations.

He further expressed his hope for continued success and achievement in their professional careers, in service to the nation and its citizens. Colonel Boughelag urged them to continue on the path of dedication and discipline that embodies the noble values of the Civil Protection apparatus.
