Earlier in November, Algeria faced a devastating series of wildfires that consumed over 55 areas across nine provinces. The province of Tipaza was particularly hard hit, with over 60 hectares of forest destroyed. An unusual heatwave, coupled with scorching Sirocco winds from the south, transformed the autumn season into a period of intense heat, with temperatures exceeding 31 degrees Celsius in many regions.
