In a commendable act, Algerian deputies Hamad Ayoub and Fouzi Ben Jaballah took a principled stand during their participation in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s proceedings in the Danish capital, Copenhagen last Monday.

The two deputies withdrew from the event in a resolute stance of rejection and condemnation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s clear bias towards the occupation during its aggression against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Participants in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly were urged to observe a minute of silence in solidarity with the casualties of the Zionist occupation’s attacks.

In a gesture of protest against this shameful behavior, the two deputies opted to boycott the event and retired to the assembly hall to recite the opening verses of the Quran as a tribute to the Palestinian martyrs who have fallen and continue to fall victim to barbaric aggression.
