Algerian-Qatari Talks on Agriculture

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammed Abdelhafiz Hani, received the Director-General of the Qatari company “Baladna,” Mohammed Muataz Al-Khayyat, at the ministry’s headquarters today. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance partnership and cooperation in the agricultural sector.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, the meeting was attended by a delegation of experts accompanying the Qatari company’s director and Qatar’s Ambassador to Algeria, Abdelaziz Ali Ahmed Neama Al-Neama.

This meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to implement the “Baladna” project for the production of milk and red meat.

The two parties also discussed investment opportunities in Algeria and explored the potential for joint projects between the two countries.

In this context, the Minister highlighted the key development programs included in the sector’s roadmap and emphasized the crucial role of integrating this project into Algeria’s economic policy.

Mohammed Muataz Al-Khayyat expressed his readiness to invest in Algerian agriculture by utilizing all available opportunities that serve the interests of both sister countries.
