A nationwide polio vaccination campaign commenced today, Sunday, across Algeria, targeting over 4 million children. The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Health, aims to bolster preventative healthcare measures throughout the country.
Minister of Health, Mohamed Siddek Ait Messoudane, oversaw the campaign’s launch at the Public Health Institution in El Annasser, Kouba. He expressed his satisfaction with the significant public engagement, noting the eagerness of parents to bring their children to vaccination centers.
“This remarkable turnout demonstrates a clear understanding among citizens regarding the crucial role vaccinations play in safeguarding the health of future generations,” the Minister stated.
He further emphasized that this campaign represents a vital step in strengthening collective immunity among children and sustaining the progress made in combating polio within Algeria. Minister Ait Messoudane urged all families to actively participate to ensure the campaign’s success and achieve comprehensive health coverage.
