Algiers – Algeria and Rwanda are strengthening ties, focusing on the criminalization of colonialism and enhanced African cooperation. Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, received Olivier Jean Patrick, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on the sidelines of the international conference organized by Algeria on the “Criminalization of Colonialism in Africa.”
During the meeting, both ministers expressed satisfaction with the dynamic activity in bilateral relations, particularly in implementing the outcomes of Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s visit to Algeria in June, at the invitation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The visit signified a mutual commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations.
Key discussions centered on the agenda of the international conference on criminalizing colonialism. The ministers also coordinated on issues to be addressed during the second session of the Oran Process on Peace and Security in Africa, scheduled to commence tomorrow. This collaborative effort underscores a shared vision for a more secure and prosperous continent.
The Oran Process, an Algerian initiative, aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among African nations to address peace and security challenges. Rwanda’s active participation highlights the importance of collective action in resolving conflicts and promoting stability across the continent.
