Hossam Hassan Unveils Egypt’s Provisional Squad for AFCON 2025

The Egyptian national team, under the leadership of coach Hossam Hassan, has announced the preliminary squad list for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21st to January 18th. The Pharaohs are set to begin their training camp on December 3rd.

The provisional squad includes a selection of players across various positions, aiming to build a competitive team for the continental tournament.

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shenawy, Ahmed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Mohamed Sobhi

Defenders: Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Eid, Ramy Rabia, Khaled Sobhi, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Ismail, Hossam Abdel Maguid, Mohamed Hamdi, Ahmed Fatouh

Ibrahim Hassan, the Egyptian team’s director, confirmed that the final squad list will be officially submitted to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on December 11th. This will be the definitive list of players representing Egypt in the prestigious tournament.
