Gaza’s emergency services report one Palestinian killed by Israeli fire near the ‘Yellow Line’ in the Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City. This coincides with Israel’s claim of killing two Palestinians in northern Gaza, alleging they posed an immediate threat.
In the southern Gaza Strip, reports indicate Israeli helicopters opened fire, accompanied by artillery shelling in the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, beyond the ‘Yellow Line’. The Israeli military stated its forces fired upon two fighters who crossed the ‘Yellow Line’ north of Gaza, claiming they constituted a ‘direct threat’.
A statement from the Israeli army asserts that soldiers from the Carmeli Brigade (2) combat team killed two Palestinians in separate incidents north of the Gaza Strip, citing the same justification of posing a ‘direct threat’ – a recurring rationale used by Tel Aviv for alleged ceasefire violations.
A Palestinian woman was reportedly wounded by Israeli drone fire near Yaffa Street in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. Medical sources indicate she was transferred to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City after being struck by a ‘quadcopter’ drone.
Reports also detail attacks, including gunfire and artillery shelling, targeting civilian homes in the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Continued Alleged Ceasefire Violations: Israel continues to breach the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Since October 10th, approximately 591 alleged violations have resulted in over 357 Palestinian fatalities and 903 injuries, according to a statement released yesterday by the Government Media Office in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the search for the body of a missing Israeli soldier in the Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip, has concluded without success. A joint team comprised of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Al-Qassam Brigades initiated the search in the northern area near the ‘Yellow Line’. However, extensive destruction caused by Israeli strikes is severely hindering search and recovery efforts.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced [further details to follow].
