Israeli Fire Reported in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Violations

A Palestinian was wounded by Israeli drone fire in Gaza City on Tuesday, amid reports of ongoing Israeli military activity in the southern Gaza Strip. The incident occurred as rescue workers evacuated several wounded individuals and families trapped by Israeli forces east of the city.

Local media sources reported that the Palestinian man was injured by a drone strike in the Al-Nasr neighborhood of Gaza City, marking a potential breach of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10th. Reports indicate that Israeli drones deployed incendiary devices, sparking fires in homes near the As-Sanafour intersection, east of the At-Tuffah neighborhood. This area is reportedly part of an expanded “yellow line,” with over half of Gaza now under Israeli control according to the agreement.

Gaza’s Civil Defense announced the evacuation of five wounded individuals, including women and children, from the vicinity of the As-Sanafour intersection. They also reported evacuating dozens of families who were allegedly trapped by Israeli fire from tanks and drones in the At-Tuffah neighborhood. These incidents occurred in areas from which Israeli forces had reportedly withdrawn under the ceasefire agreement.

Elsewhere, near the Ash-Shuja’iyya intersection, Israeli forces allegedly detonated an explosive device in the Ash-Sha’af area, east of Gaza City. Reports also emerged of buildings being demolished in the northern Gaza Strip, along with airstrikes on Jabalia in the north and artillery shelling targeting the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In the southern Gaza Strip, local media reported Israeli vehicles opening fire east of Khan Yunis, while Israeli artillery targeted the eastern areas of the city. Airstrikes were also reported east of Khan Yunis in the early hours of the morning. Heavy fire was directed towards Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources. The Israeli military has not yet commented on these incidents.
