Algiers, Algeria – The Ministry of Interior and Local Authorities has announced that the final deadline for submitting applications for the Ramadan grant is December 8th. Citizens who meet the eligibility criteria are urged to visit their local municipality’s social activity offices to submit their applications before the deadline. The Ministry has emphasized that no applications will be accepted after this date.
The Ministry also clarified that beneficiaries of the 2025 Solidarity Grant are required to renew their applications to be eligible for this year’s Ramadan grant. This renewal ensures that the ministry has up-to-date information regarding the applicant’s current situation.
Individuals who meet the legal requirements for the grant can register through the dedicated online platform on the Ministry of Interior’s website. This online service is exclusively available to holders of biometric national identity cards. Alternatively, applicants can visit their local municipality to complete the grant application form, which is also available on the Ministry’s official website. Applicants are reminded to provide accurate and truthful information in their submissions.
The Ramadan grant aims to support vulnerable families who meet the conditions outlined in Article 06 of Executive Decree No. 25-06, dated February 22, 2025, which establishes the special solidarity grant for the month of Ramadan. The decree stipulates that both spouses must be without income, or their combined net monthly income must not exceed DZD 20,000. Furthermore, social and field investigations must confirm the unstable situation of the head of the household to qualify for the grant.
The Ministry of Interior encourages all eligible citizens to apply before the December 8th deadline to benefit from this important social assistance program during the holy month of Ramadan.
