The Director-General of the National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development (AADL), Riad Ghamdani, has stated that the prices for AADL 3 housing units will be similar to those of the subsidized housing scheme (LPA), ranging between 350 and 440 million centimes.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the foundation stone laying ceremony for an AADL 3 project in Medea, Ghamdani emphasized that LPA housing prices were accessible to a broad segment of the population. He added that AADL would ensure construction companies adhere to contractual deadlines to guarantee rapid project completion.
Ghamdani further noted that the new project will be implemented according to the updated anti-seismic regulations (RPA 2024), ensuring enhanced safety standards and construction quality. All housing units will be equipped with central heating as a mandatory feature.
The designs for the projects were developed under the supervision of young Algerian university graduates, who introduced a modern architectural vision for the exterior facades and advanced designs for the outdoor spaces, aligning with citizens’ needs and reflecting a renewed urban character.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has set the prices for subsidized housing in major cities like Algiers, Oran, Annaba, and Constantine at 350 million centimes for a three-room apartment and 440 million centimes for a four-room unit, excluding the state subsidy of 70 million centimes.
The Director-General commenced his tour with the laying of the foundation stone for a 600-unit AADL 3 project in the Bati neighborhood of Medea province on Tuesday morning. On Monday, the foundation stone was laid for a 2,000-unit AADL project in the new urban center of Ouled Khaled in Saida province, in the presence of the Governor of Saida, Amoumene Marmouri.
Since the launch of the AADL 3 program, initiated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, 11,650 housing units have been allocated, including 8,050 units in the Sissaoui urban center in Constantine, 1,600 units in the El Bakarat urban center in Ouargla province, and 2,000 units in the Ouled Khaled urban center in Saida province.
