Algiers – A nationwide initiative is underway to bolster support for the Algerian national football team, nicknamed “Les Verts” (The Greens), during the FIFA Arab Cup 2025. The Ministry of Youth has launched a program designed to create dedicated spaces across the country where fans can gather and watch the matches together.
The initiative aims to enhance the appeal of youth institutions and attract a broader segment of the youth population. From December 1st to 18th, fans can converge in designated areas to follow Algeria’s progress in the tournament.
The Ministry of Youth seeks to foster a safe and communal atmosphere where young people can enjoy the matches in comfortable and supportive environments. Furthermore, the program provides an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the diverse range of services and activities offered by youth institutions throughout the country.
Youth centers, hostels, scientific entertainment complexes, cultural centers, local sports facilities, and youth camps will all feature specially equipped viewing rooms for supporters. These rooms will be fitted with large screens and offer a comfortable and secure setting for fans to enjoy the tournament. The goal is to ensure a memorable experience for Algeria’s youth.
This initiative underscores the commitment to cultivate a positive environment that strengthens national pride and brings young people closer to their local institutions. The program is being implemented in coordination with the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministry of Sports, and the Algerian Football Federation.
