Ramallah Under Increased Pressure: Israeli forces continued their military operations across the occupied West Bank, intensifying the siege on Ramallah and conducting aerial assaults in the Nablus region. The ongoing campaign, which began a week ago, has further restricted movement and heightened tensions in the area.
Ramallah Sealed Off: Since Tuesday morning, Israeli troops have reinforced the military blockade, closing checkpoints and roads north and west of Ramallah. Thousands of Palestinians are reportedly stranded at checkpoints connecting Ramallah to surrounding villages. Witnesses reported the use of tear gas and stun grenades by Israeli forces near the Atara and Ein Sinya checkpoints, preventing Palestinians from approaching. This followed the alleged killing of a Palestinian youth near Ein Atara, accused of stabbing two Israeli soldiers who sustained minor injuries.
Jerusalem Clashes: In occupied Jerusalem, local officials reported that two Palestinian youths were wounded by Israeli army gunfire near the separation wall north of the city on Tuesday evening.
Apache Helicopters Deployed in Nablus: Further north, in the Nablus region, Israeli Apache helicopters targeted areas in Tubas and Qabatiya with heavy machine gun fire. Local sources reported hearing multiple instances of helicopter fire throughout the evening. In Qabatiya, south of Jenin, reports indicated that Apache helicopters fired live ammunition at the Jabal al-Zakarna area. The targeted area is reportedly open and uninhabited.
Tubas Under Military Pressure: Tubas has been experiencing increased military activity for over a week, resulting in widespread damage to infrastructure and property, as well as injuries and arrests of Palestinians. A comprehensive curfew was imposed on Qabatiya on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the local municipality.
Arrests and Explosions: Separately, Israeli forces arrested a young man named Hassan Aayed Baker Mansour after a special Israeli unit raided the Byblos neighborhood, located between the Al-Kindi school and a hospital.
