Algiers – The Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced new opportunities for Algerian professors to teach and conduct research in the United States. This initiative comes through a communication from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.
The announcement, referenced as N352/D.C.E.U/S.D.P.U.R/2025 and dated November 30, 2025, was directed to the heads of regional university conferences across the West, Central, and Eastern regions of Algeria.
The U.S. Embassy in Algeria has opened applications for the Fulbright Visiting Scholars program. This program allows Algerian professors holding a doctorate or equivalent professional qualification to spend three to six months researching and/or teaching at an American university.
Interested professionals and researchers are encouraged to submit their applications online by December 20, 2025, through the designated portal: https://dz.usembassy.gov/education/exchange-programs/
This announcement is part of the annual Fulbright program’s international competition for Algerian professors and researchers holding doctoral degrees, specifically for the 2026/2027 academic year. Detailed eligibility requirements are included in the program’s appendices.
