Communication Minister Mourns Passing of Journalist Abdelhamid Agag

Algiers – The Minister of Communication, Zouheir Bouamama, has expressed his deepest condolences following the death of veteran journalist Abdelhamid Agag. Agag passed away at the age of 60 after battling a long illness.

In a statement released earlier today, the Ministry of Communication conveyed its heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, as well as to the entire media community. The statement read: “On this sad occasion, the Minister of Communication extends his sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased in particular, and to the entire media family.”

The Ministry further expressed its hope that Almighty God would grant the deceased His vast mercy and forgiveness, and inspire his family, relatives, and all who knew him with patience and solace.

Abdelhamid Agag had a distinguished career in journalism, having worked for numerous national media institutions and organizations throughout his life. He was known for his dedication to the profession and his insightful reporting on various national issues.

Notably, Agag also served in the Communications Directorate of the Ministry of Interior during the 1990s, contributing his expertise to government communications efforts during a critical period in the nation’s history.
