Heavy Rainfall Alert Issued for Multiple Algerian Provinces

Algiers, December 4, 2025 – Several provinces across Algeria are bracing for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, according to a weather alert issued today by the National Meteorological Office.

The alert, released this Thursday, indicates that significant rainfall is expected to impact a wide swathe of the country. Provinces included in the warning are Algiers, Boumerdes, Tipaza, Blida, Ain Defla, Medea, Tissemsilt, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Constantine, Setif, Mila, and Bordj Bou Arreridj.

Residents in these areas should prepare for potentially hazardous conditions. The anticipated rainfall is expected to begin at 6:00 PM this evening and continue until 6:00 AM tomorrow, Friday.
