Tebessa, Algeria – A devastating road accident in Tebessa province has claimed the life of a child and left 15 others injured. The incident occurred this morning on National Route 10, in the Houihat region of El Ma El Abiod district.
A passenger bus traveling between Tebessa and Bouchebka veered off course and overturned, resulting in the tragic loss. Civil Protection services responded to the scene at approximately 9:05 AM local time.
Initial reports confirm the death of a 12-year-old child. The victim’s body has been transported to the morgue at the local hospital. Fifteen other passengers sustained injuries of varying severity, with one individual reported to be in critical condition. Paramedics provided on-site first aid before transferring all injured individuals to the local hospital for further medical treatment.
Civil Protection deployed significant resources to manage the emergency situation, including five ambulances and a rescue truck. Their efforts focused on providing immediate care to the injured and ensuring the safety of all passengers involved in the accident.
