Algiers, November 6, 2025 – A severe weather alert has been issued for several northern provinces of Algeria, with forecasts indicating heavy rainfall and strong winds throughout the day.
The National Meteorological Office has warned residents of potentially hazardous conditions, urging caution during travel and outdoor activities. The alert specifically highlights the wilayas of Algiers and Tipaza as being at risk of experiencing high-speed winds.
Furthermore, a significant rainfall warning is in effect for the following provinces: Sidi Bel Abbes, Souk Ahras, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Bejaia, Mila, Oum El Bouaghi, Guelma, Tizi Ouzou, Annaba, Setif, Ain Temouchent, Tlemcen, Constantine, Skikda, Jijel, El Tarf, Saida, Bouira, and Mascara.
These regions can expect substantial rainfall beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until midnight, according to the meteorological office. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
