CHLEF – Seven people were injured following an explosion inside a public bathhouse (hammam) in the wilaya of Chlef earlier today. The incident occurred in the city center of Oued Fodda, according to local authorities.
Civil Protection services responded to the scene at approximately 8:09 AM local time. Reports indicate the explosion took place within the premises of the public bathhouse, causing injuries of varying degrees of severity to those present.
“Our teams immediately provided first aid to the injured at the scene,” stated a spokesperson for the Civil Protection. “All seven individuals were subsequently transported to the local hospital for further medical treatment. The situation is currently under control, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion.”
