Bouira, Algeria – Houria Aggoune was officially installed as the Governor of Bouira Province today in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and National Planning, Said Saayoud.
Minister Saayoud, in his address, emphasized the strategic importance of Bouira, highlighting its role as a vital commercial hub and a crucial transit point connecting the eastern and southern regions of Algeria. He described Bouira as the “beating heart of Algeria” and a cornerstone for any national-scale economic and developmental policy.
The Minister urged for the continuation of the developmental momentum currently underway in the province. He stressed the importance of an effective management approach characterized by diligent on-the-ground monitoring of projects, combating bureaucracy, simplifying administrative procedures, and maintaining constant communication with citizens within a coordinated and integrated framework.
“Bouira’s location makes it essential to Algeria’s economic plans,” Saayoud noted.
Addressing the issue of security, Minister Saayoud underscored that sustainable development goals can only be achieved in an environment of lasting stability and security. He commended the significant efforts made by various security forces in protecting property and infrastructure. He also expressed his appreciation for the citizens’ awareness and involvement in combating organized crime and their support for the efforts of the security services.
The appointment of Governor Aggoune signals a renewed focus on bolstering Bouira’s economic and social progress, with an emphasis on citizen engagement and efficient governance.
