Oran, Algeria – The National Algerian Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) has signed six partnership agreements aimed at establishing new Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) across the country. The agreements were formalized today in Oran, marking a significant step towards fostering a more robust innovation ecosystem in Algeria.
The partnerships involve collaborations with various national economic operators, representing a diverse range of industries. These TISCs are designed to provide crucial resources and support to inventors, researchers, and entrepreneurs, enabling them to effectively protect and commercialize their intellectual property.
DZWatch understands that the TISCs will offer a range of services, including access to patent databases, training on intellectual property rights, and assistance with technology transfer. By providing these resources, INAPI aims to stimulate innovation, encourage entrepreneurship, and drive economic growth.
“These agreements represent a significant investment in Algeria’s future,” stated a representative from INAPI during the signing ceremony. “By empowering innovators with the tools and knowledge they need, we can unlock the country’s vast potential for technological advancement and economic development.”
The establishment of these TISCs aligns with the Algerian government’s broader strategy to diversify the economy and promote innovation as a key driver of sustainable growth. The initiative is expected to create new opportunities for collaboration between academia, industry, and government, fostering a more dynamic and competitive business environment.
The locations of the new TISCs have not yet been publicly announced, but DZWatch expects further details to be released in the coming weeks. The initiative has been widely welcomed by stakeholders in the innovation community, who see it as a crucial step towards strengthening Algeria’s position as a regional leader in technology and innovation.
