Doha, Qatar – Brahim Boughali, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly and President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, participated yesterday in the opening of the 23rd edition of the Doha Forum 2025 in Doha, Qatar.
The forum is hosting a distinguished gathering of heads of state, government ministers, political officials, and thought leaders. Among those in attendance are Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar and the forum’s official patron; Ahmed Al-Shara, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, who is attending as a guest of honor; Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania; Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia; John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana; and Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar.
According to a statement released by the People’s National Assembly, the Doha Forum serves as a global dialogue platform. It brings together political figures, decision-makers, and experts to address the multifaceted challenges confronting the world and to foster innovative, action-oriented networks.
This year, under the theme “Establishing Justice: From Promises to Tangible Reality,” the forum places the issue of justice at the heart of the global conversation. The aim is to ensure that discussions and theoretical principles translate into concrete outcomes and practical cooperation that benefit the international community. The forum’s organizers hope to facilitate the transition from abstract commitments to real-world impact.
The Doha Forum is considered an important international event for global cooperation.
