Dakar, Senegal – Algeria is making a significant impact at the 36th edition of the FIDAK International Fair in Dakar, Senegal. The event, which commenced this Sunday, features a robust Algerian delegation highlighting the nation’s expanding production capabilities.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, Algeria is represented by 72 national companies spanning diverse sectors. This substantial participation underscores Algeria’s commitment to strengthening its economic ties within the African continent.
The Algerian pavilion has garnered considerable attention within the international exhibition village. Participating companies showcase a wide array of products and services, including those from the food and agriculture industries, construction equipment and materials, renewable energy solutions, and various service and consulting sectors. This diversity reflects the evolution of Algerian national production and the increasing range of export offerings beyond hydrocarbons.
Official support for export promotion towards Africa
The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion is actively overseeing Algeria’s participation in FIDAK, aligning with the sector’s strategy to empower Algerian businesses to access foreign markets and enhance the presence of Algerian products, particularly in Senegal and throughout the African market. The fair is envisioned as a platform for forging new partnerships and expanding export opportunities. The event is scheduled to continue until December 31st.
