AADL 3 Housing Project Breaks Ground in Laghouat

Laghouat, Algeria – Construction has officially commenced on a significant housing project in Laghouat, marking a key step in the AADL 3 (Agence d’Amélioration et de Développement du Logement) program. The groundbreaking ceremony, held earlier today, was attended by the Director-General of AADL, Riadh Gueddami, and the Governor of Laghouat, Mohamed Benmalek.

The project, located in the upper region of Laghouat municipality, will consist of 1150 housing units, divided into three segments: 650, 350 and 150 units respectively. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for affordable housing in the region.

This project follows President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s initial launch of the AADL 3 program, with several similar projects already underway in other provinces. These include:

  • 8050 units in Constantine (Sissaoui Urban Pole)
  • 1600 units in Ouargla (El Bakarat Urban Pole)
  • 2000 units in Saida (Ouled Khaled Urban Pole)
  • 1400 units in Medea
  • 1000 units in Tebessa (Boulhaf Dair)
  • 2400 units in Mascara (Hamama Urban Pole)

The AADL 3 program represents a major government effort to provide decent housing options for Algerian citizens, especially those with moderate incomes. The project in Laghouat is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of life for many families in the region. Further updates on the progress of this and other AADL 3 projects will be provided as they become available.
