Algiers – The Algerian Ministry of National Education has announced new organizational measures regarding the distribution of first semester report cards for the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative aims to strengthen communication between parents and educational staff within schools across the country.
According to directives issued by the Director-General of Education at the Ministry, Thursday, December 18th, 2025, will be designated as an open day at all educational institutions across the three levels of schooling. This open day will provide parents with the opportunity to collect their children’s report cards and directly review their academic performance during the first semester.
Furthermore, parents will have the chance to meet with the administrative and educational staff, allowing them to discuss their children’s progress, raise concerns, and foster collaboration between home and school in support of the students’ academic journey.
The directive emphasizes the importance of providing suitable organizational conditions to ensure the success of this open day. The Director-General of Education stressed the significance of achieving the desired objectives of this direct communication, recognizing it as an effective tool for enhancing academic monitoring and improving educational outcomes. The Ministry hopes this initiative will increase parental involvement and ultimately lead to better student performance across the board.
