Algiers, December 10, 2025 – The Minister of Health, Mr. Mohamed Seddik Ait Mesoudane, received Mr. Wang Yunfu, Chairman of the Health Commission of Hubei Province, China, in Algiers on Wednesday. The meeting focused on exploring avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector, according to a statement released by the Ministry.
The discussions centered on potential collaborations in various areas, including exchanging expertise and best practices in public health management, disease control, and healthcare technology. Both parties expressed a strong commitment to fostering a deeper partnership that would benefit the health systems of both Algeria and China.
“This meeting marks an important step in solidifying the long-standing relationship between Algeria and China,” stated Minister Ait Mesoudane. “We are eager to learn from China’s experiences and advancements in healthcare, particularly in areas such as telemedicine and preventative medicine.”
Chairman Wang Yunfu echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in addressing global health challenges. He highlighted China’s willingness to share its resources and knowledge to support Algeria’s efforts to improve the health and well-being of its citizens.
