Algeria and Tunisia Enhance Bilateral Coordination

Algiers, December 10, 2025 – Algeria and Tunisia are intensifying their collaborative efforts across various sectors, signaling a new era of strengthened bilateral relations.

Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, arrived in Tunis this Wednesday to co-chair, alongside his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Ali Al-Nafti, the Algerian-Tunisian Follow-up Committee meetings.

The Follow-up Committee is scheduled to convene tomorrow in preparation for the 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian Joint High Commission for Bilateral Cooperation. This high-level meeting, slated for December 12, will be jointly presided over by the Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrib, and the Tunisian Head of Government, Sarah Al-Zafrani.

These discussions aim to elevate the existing partnership between the two nations, focusing on key areas such as economic development, security cooperation, and cultural exchange. The strengthening of ties comes at a crucial time, as both countries navigate regional and global challenges.

Sources indicate that the Joint High Commission will address a wide range of strategic initiatives designed to promote mutual prosperity and stability. The agenda includes the facilitation of trade, investment opportunities, and joint projects in sectors like energy, infrastructure, and tourism.
