Today at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held pivotal talks with his Palestinian counterpart, Riyad al-Maliki.

The meeting unfolded on the sidelines of Attaf’s participation in a high-level United Nations Security Council session. The diplomatic encounter provided a timely platform for reviewing the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly amidst the ongoing Zionist aggression against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Both dignitaries delved into the diplomatic efforts being made to halt the unjust aggression and manage its inhumane consequences. They discussed the imperative of permitting unconditional humanitarian aid to reach the Palestinian brethren affected by the devastating conditions.

Palestinian Minister Riyad al-Maliki reciprocated by expressing Palestine’s enduring appreciation—on behalf of its leadership, government, and people—for the unwavering and unconditional support Algeria has consistently extended to the Palestinian cause. In the same vein, he commended Algeria’s prompt humanitarian assistance aimed at alleviating the hardships caused by the unjust and comprehensive siege imposed on the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The meeting stands as a testament to Algeria’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and the ongoing endeavors to achieve peace and justice in the region.
