Algeria and Tunisia Strengthen Strategic Partnership

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib has lauded the deep-rooted partnership between Algeria and Tunisia, emphasizing the significant progress achieved through bilateral coordination. Speaking at the opening of the 23rd session of the Algerian-Tunisian Joint Grand Commission for Cooperation in Tunis, Ghrib expressed his satisfaction at being among his “family and brothers” in Tunisia, acknowledging the warm welcome and hospitality as a reflection of the strong historical ties between the two nations.

The Prime Minister highlighted the excellent level of bilateral relations, attributing it to the strong commitment of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Tunisian counterpart, President Kais Saied, to elevate these relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Ghrib stated that the Commission’s meeting provides a crucial opportunity to assess the progress of cooperation since the October 2023 session in Algeria and to identify new horizons for the partnership. Ghrib expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the military cooperation agreement between the two countries in October 2025, considering it another building block in the growing strategic partnership.
