Saudi football club Al-Taawoun officially announced on Monday evening the signing of Algerian international defender Zineddine Belaïd from JS Kabylie on a three-year contract.
The club revealed the deal through its official account on the platform X, sharing a presentation video accompanied by the phrase: “From the fields of the Desert Warriors to the ambitions of the Wolves.” The announcement was followed by a welcoming graphic describing the player as “solid as the Aurès Mountains… bold as desert wolves… the warrior Zineddine Belaïd… welcome.”
Al-Taawoun is counting on Belaïd’s experience, gained with the Algerian national team and throughout his professional career, to strengthen its defensive line ahead of the upcoming season.
The Algerian defender is set to begin his journey with the club on August 15, when Al-Taawoun faces Al-Khaleej at the Buraidah Stadium in the opening round of the Saudi Pro League season.
