U.S. Program Boosts English Skills for Algerian Healthcare Professionals

Algiers – The Algerian Ministry of Health has announced the sixth edition of the “LINK Project,” an American-sponsored training program designed to enhance the English language proficiency of Algerian healthcare professionals. The initiative, officially communicated through a ministerial directive from the Directorate of Training within the Ministry of Health, is a collaborative effort with the U.S. Embassy in Algeria.

The program specifically targets personnel working within healthcare institutions, as well as students enrolled in paramedical and midwifery training institutes. A key requirement for applicants is a demonstrated intermediate to advanced level of English proficiency.

The Directorate of Training has issued a call for interested individuals to register for the program. Applicants are required to complete a registration form and provide documentation verifying their English language skills, adhering to the outlined participation criteria.

Completed application packages, including the registration form endorsed by the head of the respective institution and proof of English language proficiency, must be submitted to the Wilaya (province) health directorates by December 17, 2025.

Furthermore, the Directorate of Training emphasizes that the lists of nominated candidates, along with their registration forms and supporting documents, must be submitted electronically by the Wilaya health and population directorates, as well as paramedical training institutes, to the Directorate of Training via email at sdformationcontinue@gmail.com, before December 22, 2025.

The Ministry of Health has stressed the importance of widely disseminating this announcement across all healthcare facilities and training institutes to ensure maximum awareness and participation among eligible personnel. This initiative aims to strengthen the English language skills of healthcare professionals, thereby improving scientific and professional communication and fostering greater international collaboration within the sector.
