Khenchela, Algeria – A fatal accident involving a road grader has claimed the life of one individual in the Khenchela province. The incident occurred earlier today in the commune of Chechar, according to local authorities.
Civil Protection services reported that the secondary unit in Chechar responded to a call at 8:32 AM local time regarding a serious traffic accident. Initial reports indicate that a road grader veered off course and overturned in the Oued Ligh Rabah area, while construction work was underway on a new road project.
The accident took place in the Hai El Imarat El Jadida locality, within the municipality and district of Chechar. Tragically, the incident resulted in the immediate death of a man, approximately 42 years of age.
Emergency services transported the deceased to the emergency department of Chadli Ben Djedid Hospital in Chechar. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
