ETUSA Launches New Route Linking Algiers Suburbs

Algiers, December 14, 2025 – ETUSA, the public transport authority for the city of Algiers and its surrounding areas, has announced the launch of a new bus route connecting Ahmed Faoussi district (Reghaia) with the 2nd May station (Tafourah), passing through Rouiba and Bab Ezzouar. The new service will commence on Monday, December 15, 2025.

According to ETUSA officials, the first bus will depart from Ahmed Faoussi (Reghaia) towards 2nd May station (Tafourah) at 6:00 AM. The last departure from 2nd May station (Tafourah) back to Ahmed Faoussi (Reghaia) will be at 6:00 PM.

This new route aims to improve connectivity and ease transportation for residents in these rapidly developing areas of the capital. It will provide a direct link for commuters traveling between the eastern suburbs and the city center, offering a more convenient alternative to existing transport options.

In addition to the new route, ETUSA has also announced the extension of the night bus line number 72, which previously connected Martyrs’ Square with Rouiba. This line will now extend further to reach Ahmed Faoussi (Reghaia), providing late-night transportation options for residents in that area.

The extension of the night bus service and the introduction of the new route reflect ETUSA’s commitment to enhancing public transportation infrastructure and meeting the evolving needs of Algiers’ growing population.
