Advanced Cybersecurity and AI Master Program Launched for National Security Personnel

Ain Temouchent, Algeria – An advanced professional master’s program in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence has commenced at Belhadj Bouchaib University in Ain Temouchent. The program is specifically designed for executives within the General Directorate of National Security, aiming to bolster specialized training and keep pace with rapid digital advancements.

This training initiative is part of the General Directorate of National Security’s broader strategy to enhance the skills and expand the scientific and technological knowledge of its personnel, particularly those working in judicial police and technical departments. This strategic move aligns with the demands of modern digital security.

The program, which began on December 14, 2025, sees 18 National Security executives undertaking intensive training led by university professors and specialized experts. This is made possible through an institutional partnership between the General Directorate of National Security and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The curriculum focuses on developing critical skills in combating cybercrime, analyzing digital threats, and leveraging Artificial Intelligence technologies in security operations. The program aims to equip the officers with the latest tools and techniques to address evolving cyber threats.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Chief of Security for the Wilaya of Ain Temouchent, along with the Director of the Police School of Sidi Bel Abbes, Mohamed Tayebi, National Security officials, the university’s Vice-Director for Scientific Research and External Relations, and the academic staff.

This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the readiness of National Security’s human resources and strengthen their ability to confront current digital security challenges. The ultimate goal is to ensure the protection of citizens and safeguard property in a secure digital environment.
